Hey There, I've encountered a problem with my 2008 X5 that I can't find any info on. It's a push button start and over the past few months it's been somewhat sluggish to start some times. The first crank would sound really weak and then it would start like normal. I thought the battery might finally be dying and put it on the to do list.

I have a 2009 BMW X5 35D. We drove it fine and was able to come back home. However, later in the day, the X5 won't crank or start anymore. At some point, the X5 complained about the battery being low in charge, so we charged. After charging to 100%, I retried, but same thing happened.

If you search for E70 X5 won't start you get a ton of messages. They range from: Replace your battery; Replace your starter; Check your keys; Your DME or ECS might have failed; Your brake pedal might not be recognized; The battery monitor might not be working.
