2024年6月25日 · BMW isn't gonna have any problem selling this car, even at that weight, for the same reason they didn't have any problem selling the F90 M5 with only a torque converter auto. The target customer doesn't care that much about weight or having a manual (or dct).

2022年2月21日 · M5 is sporty sedan car, M3 is a sedany sports car. Having driven both on and off the track, I’d take either. On a big boy track like COTA the M5 will walk away from an M3. You’ll catch them in the corners in an M3 but as soon as you hit a straight you’ll be right foot down with nothing more to give as the M5 pulls away.

This engine is detuned compared to earlier M5 models (RR Sport SV has the exact same engine and can put out 635hp). This car is just too heavy, they needed to give it at least 800hp to make sense. An uprated S68 and slightly more powerful E motor would've done the trick.
