2019年2月7日 · Baiyun Mountain, which literally means White Cloud Mountain, is a very popular natural attraction Guangzhou. If you reach one of the peaks at the right time you will see why it was given such a name with the mountain being encircled by beautiful clouds.

The name Baiyun Mountain means White Cloud Mountain because the summit is wreathed in clouds whenever the sky clears after rain. With a forest coverage of over 28 square kilometers, Baiyun Mountain is also praised as being the lung of Guangzhou.

Visitors can choose to pay for the cable car ride up the mountain or simply, walk and climb which I seen may people doing it. Of course, a cable ride is much more easier. On top of the mountain, one can enjoy a birds eye view of Guangzhou city.

2023年6月30日 · Baiyun mountain (also known as “white cloud mountain”) was on top of my list of places to visit in Guangzhou, China. However, I had no idea it was such a scenic spot and made for a perfect half-day hike in Guangzhou.

Baiyun ('White Cloud'), a cluster of scenic peaks in the northern suburbs of Guangzhou, is the closest natural escape from the city. Star Touching Peak (摩星岭, Móxīng Lǐng), at 382m, is the highest point and more of a hill, accessible by steep steps or a cable car.

Located in the northeast part of Guangzhou City, the Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area, a national 5A scenic area, covers an area of 21 square kilometers. As a well-known mountain in Guangdong Province, Baiyun Mountain is considered to be “the most beautiful mountain in Guangzhou”.

Baiyun Mountain is a wide mountain with more than 30 mountain peaks, and is a branch of Jiulian Mountain, the highest peak in Guangdong. It covers an area of 20.98 km2, and the main peak is 382m. The scenic area features lush forests, peaks, and a rich water system.

Baiyun Mountain refers to the mountain range located 15 km (9.3 mi) north of downtown Guangzhou and made up of about 30 peaks, with an area of 28 km2 (11 sq mi). It is located at the southern end of the Dayu Mountains (Chinese: 大庾岭), which themselves are part of Nanling Mountains (Chinese: 南岭山脉).
