Our original building first opened in 1974, and since then has received multiple additions, expansions, and renovations throughout the 1990s and 2000s.

My name is Brittany Martin and I am so lucky to be a part of the Barry Elementary team. I am originally from California, however I moved to the Kansas City area following my graduation from the University of Missouri.

Children who have turned five years of age before August 1, 2024, are eligible for kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year. Families are encouraged to view the Attendance area boundary map linked here, or call the District office at 816-858-5420 for confirmation of attendance area.

Hello, my name is Justina Holt and I will be the Instructional Coach at Barry Elementary this year! I have over 10 years in education as an elementary teacher, instructional coach, and administrator. I earned my BA in Elementary Education and French from William Jewell College and my MS in Elementary School Administration.

Barry Elementary. My name is Ashley Ball and I'm the elementary music teacher! I’m a trumpet player from Smithville, Missouri who loves to share music. I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with my Bachelors in Music Education K-12 in December of 2022.
