Barry Voight (/ v ɔɪ t /; born 1937) is an American geologist, volcanologist, author, and engineer. After earning his Ph.D. at Columbia University, Voight worked as a professor of geology at several universities, including Pennsylvania State University, where he taught from 1964 until his retirement in 2005.

Barry Voight Professor of Geosciences. Voight has several degrees in both geology and civil engineering, with formal training at Notre Dame, Cornell and Columbia. His current principal technical interests are in volcanology, engineering geology and geotechnical engineering, and disaster prevention.

Barry Voight is Emeritus Professor of Geology and Geological Engineering at Penn State University. A member of the faculty since 1964, he retired from teaching in 2005.
