Benjamin "Ben" Gardner was a local fisherman on Amity Island and became a well-known figure following the infamous "Amity Incident" in 1974. He was portrayed by the late Craig Kingsbury in Jaws. Ben Gardner was the shark's third victim.

Benjamin David Gardner (born April 29, 1991) is a former American football linebacker. He was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL draft. He played college football at Stanford. He was also a member of the San Diego Chargers. Gardner graduated in 2009 from Homestead High School.
