2024年2月25日 · A400 design is simpler and probably inherently more reliable than L4s; it is also less picky about the ammunition that it will cycle (reduced loads). When/if you decide to sell or trade, you will do better on the Beretta. I sold both the A400 and L4s and shoot an AL390 Sporting simply because I like it better than the other two.

Beretta's system allows several choices of this angle in the vertical plane (i.e., the "Drop" dimension), but allows only one choice in each direction in the horizontal plane (i.e., a fixed amount of Cast Off or Cast On).

2024年5月24日 · A Beretta A400 Xplor (or Xcel) gas system is simple to clean. With target ammo I clean the 12 ga Xcel about every 1200 shots, although mine would cycle probably double that without issue. I've never cleaned the gas port between the barrel and piston on an A400 (or AL391) nor had any reason to clean them.

I've been thinking of buying an A400 for her, but maybe the Xcel, since it will be only for clays.
