2008年11月27日 · I have a D-tek. Nice toolbox grade leak detector. When it comes down to me having to find a leak, no excuses, no BS, I pull out the H-10 and find it. In practice, both the original D-tek with the 3 prong sensor and the newer D-tek select with the IR sensor are not sensitive enough. One store about 6 weeks ago, had a leak on an R-22 rack.

2012年2月2日 · The H10g is the best in my opinion. It has never lied to me and "will" find any leak. However it is having a hard time reading R410a. I must set it to "small leak" and set the sensitivity up or evacuate and use R22 and nitro to find small leaks. I don't like having to run a cord for it though. I will be trying out the Fieldpiece SLR2 soon.

2018年7月30日 · there is a new leak detector coming out that you pull the charge and add the pre-mix from a tank. 95% Nitrogen and 5% hydrogen and using a special electronic leak detector you would be able to find leaks that refrigerant couldn’t get squeeze through. I haven’t tried it yet. i personally like the Dtek Select I think it’s called.

2012年2月11日 · Heated diode leak detectors do work great on refrigerant, especially on R22, but will have some difficulty with the newer refrigerants (410, 404a) and do need to be replaced about once per season. The newest, and the best technology is Infrared absorption. This technology uses the principal of infrared light absorption to detect refrigerant.

I then set it to Manual with the Leak Size Switch on Medium and I adjusted the Balance Control to get around 1 click per second.

2011年2月5日 · I recently bought the JB Prowler leak detector. it helped me find a leak that had been hiding from me. i have an older H10p that could not find the leak.( it does have a new sensor though) The new JB found it quickly. i know there is very little on reviews for this detector but i took a chance. i am glad i did.
