Your best ever skis | Ski Forum
2014年8月20日 · What were my best ever skis? Assuming continued technological advances that is likely to mean your current skis objectively speaking. I have in mind a more emotional connection or response. I think this will always be relative to peers of the day as well. For me over 20 something years of skiing hands down my best pair were K2 Recons. Loved them.
Telemark/AT skis & bindings | Ski Forum
2009年7月31日 · Re: Telemark/AT skis & bindings Some backcountry skis have marks for both Tele and AT not sure about K2 They wouldn't be too soft, but thats depends on your skiing style and ability I think I tried Telecrags ones with NTN for a few runs - seemed OK and I was mainly skiing downhill style on them, carved OK too
Best all mountain ski for Australia
2015年5月21日 · There is no such thing. Everybody is different. I am small and light so my perfect all mountain ski would be different to someone 20kg heavier and 15cm taller than me. Different styles of skiing will also decide things like sidecut. There are so many different skis out there and I bet all of them are perfect for somebody..
Best and most comprehensive online ski reviews? | Ski Forum
2016年1月27日 · To be honest, IMHO ski reviews are only useful as an initial resource. At the end of the day it's the ski that suits your skiing ability, terrain choice, ski location and physical dimensions which is the best ski (for you). Put the wrong person on …
New to skiing - question about second hand skis | Ski Forum
2011年5月15日 · I've been offered a second hand pair of skis from a friend and I'm wondering if they are suitable. The skis are Atomic Beta Carv X/9.18, apparently are "carving skis". The skis are 190cm long and the previous owner claims they are suitable for touring. I weigh 90kg and from what I understand the ski length would be pretty close to what I need.
Bringing the tele gear into the 2020's | Page 2 | Ski Forum
2023年3月17日 · And, sadly, some of the best skis I’ve had were $2 op shop 170cm kids downhill racing skis. Light as a feather, particularly when teamed with simple bindings, and, oh so easy to carry on a pack. Everything newer and supposedly better, just seems to me to be heavier and has more stuff to fail.

Destination advice for my son | Ski Forum
2025年1月3日 · I took my own telemark ski gear to Japan in January 2024. It did not cost that much more to put one set of skis , boots and poles on the plane. I have no idea what Skiing with the heel locked down is like or why anyone would want to do it.;-p The black cat luggage courier made transportation of the said telemark ski gear easy once I was in Japan.
Question - DPS skis - Are they worth it? | Ski Forum
2022年9月7日 · Purchased my first pair of DPS skis 10 years ago, Wailer 105, which I loved (sold 2 years ago). Since then have purchased Nina 99 for +0.95 (Mk III) and now his and hers Pagoda Tour 100. I'm sold on them but are others? And prior to getting into backcountry skiing, most of my alpine skis were Stockli, so paying a premium for a ski isn't foreign ...
What skis are you using this coming season (Japan 24/25)?
2024年10月21日 · I rented classic XC skis, poles and boots for classic XC skiing at the respective Cross Country skiing locations at Hakuba in Japan and at the Snow Farm in N.Z.. For skiing on piste at ski resorts using ski lifts I took my own plastic Telemark boots, Karhu skis with Hammerhead bindings and poles.
