Citadel's Blood for the Blood God, and Tamiya Clear Red are essentially the "industry standard" for blood effects. (With BfrBG being the more accessible product.) Don't be afraid to mix paint lines. I primarily use Reaper paints as well, but I have a number of Citadel paints in my collection, as well as products from other manufacturers.

Hi, I recently picked up a pot of the blood for the blood god technical paint for my CSM and fantasy skaven models and I'm wondering what the best way to apply it is (I don't wanna mess it up because it's expensive for a pot of paint). Thanks in advance for any help!

2021年10月26日 · If you want to go for dried blood, maybe just use a generic red like Mephiston Red and use a little piece of regular sponge. Then treat it like a drybrush. Gently dip it into the paint, take a piece of paper and dab the excess paint into it and then go and sponge on the blood effect. Will result in a darker, old-dried-blood effect.

I think you'll get a similar result as that but you'll need to do lots of thin coats and probably thin it a little bit. It's great for normal thick blood in small pools but in larger areas it might need thinning.

2023年2月7日 · Yes, get some blood on the brush, either blast it with an airbrush or use a straw, use straight blood for the blood god for more stringy gloopy blood, and add a little water for a sprayed look, combine for the best results, I spent a long time the other day just making different blood splats, it was really addictive lol.
