2004年1月10日 · Richard, I'd not say that imageprint entirely eliminates bronzing but it does seem to . reduce it -- when printing glossy, I use the Epson 2200/Pictorico high gloss white . film, and generally like the results. Of course with matt papers this isn't at all an . issue.

2006年4月28日 · The bronzing with RGB was always kinda hidden because of the colors, but Grayscale we lost a bunch of biz because 1/2 of our customers couldn't get past the bronzing and gloss diferential problem. I'm glad to report that on the new K3 Ultra-Chrome 98% of these problems have been cured.

2004年11月18日 · Some companies sell "sampler" packs of paper, usually 2 sheets each 8x10 of several papers (MIS for 1) I have tried over 50 papers, and have not found a single glossy or semi-glossy that doesn't show bronzing when printing B&W. Most also show bronzing in color for black areas. I don't use glossy for this reason.

2007年6月5日 · Bronzing is more about how saturated areas (especially deep ones) tend to be reflective (sorta). If you're having trouble with color shift in b&w printing, you likely have a) a problem with color controls in prepping the file for the printer, b) a problem with the printer, or c) a printer that doesn't do neutral prints very well.

2006年10月23日 · Glossy images on the 2200 were horrible and were beautiful on matte. But with the new generation of Epson inks, bronzing and metamerism are virtually gone even on the glossiest stock, like Pictorico White Film. I have not seen it at all with the Silver Rag and Innova.

2004年10月21日 · Get over the bronzing issue. When an inkjet photo on RC paper is framed behind glass then you can't really see any bronzing. Also you can apply a spray finish such as PremierArt Print Shield to your photos. I've found that this almost completely eliminates bronzing visible on the "oh so horrible" Epson Premium Glossy paper.

2005年3月22日 · Epsons on the other hand, IMO don't make as nice of prints. There are a lot of people who use them and love them, which is great, but the printers do not do anything for me. Too problematic for me. Their ink has very good longevity, but has issues such as muted colors, bronzing, and color shifts in different lighting conditions.

2006年1月8日 · The coater 'goo' smells like pepper, and contains a piperidine derivative that prevents bronzing and image oxidation as stated above. Without it, the image can get pretty ugly pretty fast. However, that 'goo' is not benign. It is a photographic 'processing' solution in itself and should not be treated like it was harmless.

2006年12月6日 · If the film/chrome is off it will just look like big junk. May I also suggest that you check out the new generation of papers. I have been using the Crane Silver Rag and Innova F with excellent results. Does sort of have the look of traditional rag papers. What I really like is the deep blacks (great Dmax) with virtually no metamerism or bronzing.
