Cadillac vastly improved on the 2014 model when they made the 2016 ELR with a big power increase - going from 295 ft-lbs of torque in the 2014 ELR to 373 ft-lbs of torque in the 2016 model - which also has a beefed-up suspension for even better handling.

Since the 1.5 second reduction in 0 to 60 performance to the 2016 ELR is software based, does anybody know if they will provide this update to 2014 ELR's. 2023年1月17日 · First off, Cadillac never called the PHEV a plug in hybrid in the conventional sense of the word. I have had a non plug in hybrid, and a hybrid is designed to run during it's cycle on Battery only, battery and ICE, or ICE only. The Cadillac ELR is an Extended Range Vehicle. It is designed to run on Battery only, first, and foremost.

2020年2月22日 · A major factor of the ownership experience that will be materializing soon are ELR-specific parts that are no longer carried in the supply system. Once the factory warranties for the 2016 model year expire, GM is no longer obligated to replace low-production parts that can keep a vehicle sidelined or illegal to drive.

2020年1月17日 · My ELR is a collector car since its One of 2,318 ever manufactured. I have 10k miles on mine, and now drive it in nice weather because I bought a 2013 pre-owned SRX for winter month driving.

2015年9月16日 · I leased my ELR in March of 2014 and about 3 weeks after driving it off the showroom the problems started. A high pressure transmission cooler line blew a seal and started spewing hot oil all over the bottom of the car and the hot tailpipe as I was running in Hold mode to save battery on the highway.

2022年8月26日 · Sad to think that the battery is the weak link that will probably total most of our cars someday. Because it's shared with the Volt, hopefully some third-party refurbished batteries will become available for a while. Prevailz: I don't think the computer would recognize/allow you to use any of the extra capacity from a newer Volt/ELR battery.
