2023年6月7日 · Hi, I'm trying to add a new printer to my windows 11 laptop, I get to the point where it says when loading the MP drivers ALERT, Specified pathway too long, change pathway to within 180 characters. I've tried the regedit route going through to modify the '0' to '1' on the long paths, then restarted.

2016年3月6日 · I've uninstalled an old Canon printer driver that caused many issues (Illustrator not responding and so on) in my Windows 10 laptop. But I doubt whether it is completely uninstalled or not. Because in task manager I could see a process Canon Advanced Printing Technology RPC Server Process that is still running. I don't know how this is happening.

I have been trying for the last 3 hours to install it! All I get is the message mp drivers has not been installed. I have tried from the disk and directly from the canon website. Both come up with this message. The installation wizard connected the device wirelessly to the computer with no problem but will not install the software or drivers.

2023年7月1日 · Good news 😊 : although Canon indeed no longer supports the MP640 on Windows 11, I found that the drivers for Windows 10 installed just fine, also installed MP Navigator EX, and I was able to scan. I can’t comment on printing as I don’t use the MP640 to print anymore
