Students must complete a Course Withdrawal Form indicating their desire to withdraw from the specified course, ceasing to attend classes or notifying the instructor does not constitute official withdrawal. You must have access to myHill to complete the Course Withdrawal Form.

Students who wish to withdraw from the college, and do not plan on returning to RIC, must complete the official withdrawal process before the college withdrawal deadline (see deadline on Academic Calendar).Students who wish to withdraw from all courses, and return to RIC in a future semester, should complete the Leave of Absence process.

Purpose: Used by students to withdraw from the current term and/or who are not returning to the University for the next term. Complete Section 1 of this form using a computer. a. a handwritten form will not be accepted. b. an incomplete form will not be processed and returned to you for completion. Print the form using the 'Print Form' button.

Withdrawal from Semester or College: Students can withdraw from the semester (plan to return the following semester) or from the College (you do not plan to return) by withdrawing from all their classes. The semester withdrawal form is listed in your Self-Service.

Please contact your counselor/advisor to initiate the withdrawal process. A student finding it necessary to withdraw from the College has approximately 10 weeks after classes commence each semester to process the withdrawal.

Students who do not plan to return to the college must complete the Request for Personal Leave of Absence or Official Withdrawal (Fillable PDF)/ Request for Personal Leave of Absence or Official Withdrawal form.

This form must be signed by one of the following: course instructor(s), faculty advisor, or Guided Pathways Advisor. A signature does not indicate approval; only that a conversation has taken place with the student.

Students who withdraw completely from a primary semester (Fall/Spring) must reapply for admission if they miss two or more primary semesters. Complete this form. Submit this form to the Enrollment Services Office (First Floor of Watson Hall).

Use this form to request a course withdrawal no later than the withdrawal date, which is at the end of two-thirds of the term as noted in the academic calendar. If submitting the form in person, present your SCCC ID card at the time of withdrawal.
