Columbia Women's Rugby competes in Division II of the Tri-State League playing fifteens-style rugby in the Fall and attends several sevens-style rugby tournaments in the Spring, including the annual Ivy League Sevens Tournament.

So it was that, on a Saturday evening, February 25, 1961, Columbia rugby made its auspicious debut. T he effect on campus was electric. Columbia athletes, grad students and alumni turned out in force for the Spring 1961 season.
