r/anime does have a few frequent users whose posting history is full of r/The_Donald shit. But at least there, they haven't quite overwhelmed the subreddit. That's probably due to r/anime being de-listed from the r/all feed, and thus less visible to r/The_Donald trolls. Also, the "no politics" rule was enforced pretty well around US election day.

Try Psycho-Pass. That is pretty heavy post 1984 Communism. My perceived issue with political theories in pop representation, is that they hardly work outside vacuum. Communism works, if people agree. Anarchism works, if people behave. It rarely makes a good anime without a conflict. And conflict in grey zone... that is hard to convey.
