Connacht or Connaught (/ ˈkɒnɔːt, ˈkɒnə (x) t / KON-awt, KON-ə (kh)t; [5][6][7] Irish: Connachta [ˈkʊn̪ˠəxt̪ˠə] or Cúige Chonnacht [ˌkuːɟə ˈxʊn̪ˠəxt̪ˠ]), is one of the four provinces of Ireland, in the west of Ireland.
