2023年10月24日 · great recap dude. I flew to Austin last Tuesday and got an Airbnb for like $280/ night. I didn't want to drive so I purchased a shuttle pass which was $129 the whole weekend and a GA for the race. I also took a megabus from Austin to Dallas for $20 on Monday and then an uber to to DFW airport.

2022年12月14日 · Third Party lots are cheaper but a very long walk. COTA lots can get you much closer to the gate if you arrive in the morning. My wife and I packed a cooler of cold drinks and food and we saved over $300 from concessions over the weekend. Took a nap between sessions. Then able to walk back in faster.

2023年6月24日 · GA at cota is fantastic. If you’re doing the 3 day ticket, I’d recommend walking around to all the GA spots on Friday to scout out which viewing areas you’d prefer for qualifying and the race. Show up early on Saturday & Sunday to get a place in the area you want.

The 2022 USGP in Austin was the first GP I ever attended. I first had a passing interested in 2013 when Rush was released. I became more interested after I saw a 2019 David Letterman interview with Lewis Hamilton – someone who I had never heard of – on Letterman’s Netflix show.

2022年12月1日 · GA at cota is great compared to most circuits but in recent years the spaces are getting less and smaller. Meaning you’d have to get there early to get a good spot to actually follow the race with a screen. I’d go for a bleacher stand if possible or a “premium grandstand” with flip up seats as the next choice.

COTA is a pain to get to, but no wait. Took maybe 10 minutes and felt kinda cheap but the price was right. TOL had a TON of traffic and took longer to wait than to go through. I'd rather have walked it in the cold. I do think it was overpriced but better than COTA.

2022年9月26日 · Enjoying Austin’s great food and night life is a big part of the experience. That is a personal choice. Hospitality. Pit tours, the drive around the track on a flatbed and other amenities are for those that purchase F1 Experiences, Paddock Club, or COTA hospitality packages. I have done this on two occasions and it is amazing.

If you get on-site parking, get there early. Even though the parking pass says you have a guaranteed spot they WILL close the lot and tell you to go to their overflow lot, which is far enough away it’ll make you wonder why you didn’t just take the …
