Feb 13, 2019 · IOS device not connecting to Cox email properly. See the image, below. My attempts to setup this email connection to Cox fails. I do have the proper password (I can go to cox webmail version with it just fine) defined when setting up the mail account.

Apr 10, 2024 · COX migrated all of its customers' email addresses to Yahoo!. When this transfer was complete, I could no longer us Apple Mail with the COX server addresses. So, my email address still ends in @cox.net but the IMAP and SMTP servers are imap.mail.yahoo.com and smtp.mail.yahoo.com. I attempted to change the server info but that did not work.

Cox and Yahoo have only vague step sheets and zero support options. She gets email but cannot send getting SMTP cannot send. Yahoo settings appear "greyed out". Apr 25, 2024 · Some mention editing SMTP and IMAP settings but when you add Yahoo account to mail server settings do not allow for this. Looking at logs via Connection Doctor it looks like it's trying to connect to imap.cox.net which will, of course, fail. So IF I can find a way to edit the imap settings for the account it SHOULD work. We'll see.
