2020年8月9日 · 880 (premium, 250 ohm) was my first mid-tier headphone, so I have a lot of fond memories of it. Like everyone else has noted--and thank you @wadec22 for the measurements and comparisons--it's super comfy. They ruined other headphones for me by setting an unreasonably high bar for comfort.

Your question to me sound similar to asking if a speaker driver is technically better outside it's enclosure. Don't listen to that piece of shit. Even w/o measurements thrown at my face I could figure out very quickly that a DT-990 was painful crap.

2015年9月27日 · The DT 880 always had better subbass but worse mids and an offensive diffuse field can treble every time I tried it. The detail appears false due to the treble spike but the HD 600 resolved better when I eqed away the DT 880 treble. Beyerdynamic has infamous quality control and customer service issues.
