2011年1月16日 · The only issue I ever had with a stock block was when I sprayed my 434 to 950 HP, I cracked the deck at the steam holes on one bank, all 3 uppers. You should always check the steam holes when buying a used block. They do crack there occasionally. If you can afford it, Dart little M is the way to go.

2011年4月8日 · Since you're starting from scratch, buy a Dart SHP block. It's a MUCH more durable piece, will cost you nearly the same as all the fluff and buff BS to get a factory 400 block to "close" to the strength of a Dart block. Buy a Scat forged crank and Scat 6" I beam rods with the 7/16 capscrews, and top it off with Mahle dished forged pistons.
