The 797-acre Danada Forest Preserve in Wheaton features prairies, woods and wetlands as well as the Danada Equestrian Center, the Danada House, the Danada Model Farm, Parson's Grove and the Forest Preserve District’s headquarters.

The entrance is on the east side of Naperville Road 1 mile south of Butterfield Road (Route 56) and 0.75 mile north of I-88.

Today, the Forest Preserve District owns or manages nearly 25,000 acres and has an annual operating expense of approximately $65 million. The District owns and operates over 40 various preserves containing 31 lakes, 145 miles of trails and over 1,400 picnic tables.

It is owned and operated by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. The center welcomes visitors of all ages, offering riding lessons, horse care, educational and recreational enrichment programs rooted in Danada’s unique equine heritage.

Since 1984, the Danada Equestrian Center, located within the Danada Forest Preserve in Wheaton, has provided educational and recreational equestrian experiences for DuPage County residents. The Center is operated by volunteers with supervision and oversight from a few Forest Preserve employees.

2020年4月6日 · In 1980, the Danada house, horse barn, and an additional 800 acres of land was purchased by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County and restoration began to transform Danada into what it is today. Danada is a favorite of runners, bikers, walkers, dog walkers, bird watching fans and photographers.
