The Division of Cook is an Australian electoral division in the State of New South Wales. Cook was created in 1969, mostly out of the Liberal -leaning areas of neighbouring Hughes. It was thus a natural choice for that seat's one-term Liberal member, Don Dobie, to transfer after the creation of Cook erased his majority in Hughes.

Cook was the Prime Minister of Australia (1913–14) and a Member of the House of Representatives (1901–21), Captain James Cook FRS, 1728–79. Cook was a navigator in the Royal Navy who is credited as the first European to discover the east coast of Australia in 1770. part of the Sutherland Shire Council.

Cook is an electoral district in Queensland, Australia. Cook covers the vast Cape York Peninsula north of Cairns, including the resort town of Port Douglas and the Torres Strait Islands. It is named after British navigator James Cook, [1] who charted the coast and landed on Possession Island – one of the Torres Strait islands – in 1770.

This is a list of electoral results for the Division of Cook in Australian federal elections from the electorate's creation in 1969 until the present. On 16 April 2024 the Australian Electoral Commission declared Simon Kennedy officially elected as the new member for Cook. [1]
