2023年5月25日 · The pots and hardware are metric sized. Pots knobs bridges stopbars, Gibson parts will not normally fit on Epiphones. "Inspired By Gibson model Epiphones" are built at the Qingdao factory in China using all metric parts with CTS pots and switches. Like my slightly modified " 2020 Inspired by Gibson ES-339" below, and like all ES's it is all metric.

2021年4月15日 · The Gibson, a $3,450.00 guitar and the Epiphone, a $400.00 guitar. While the Epiphone sounds very good and looks great, It is not the same quality as the Gibson. When I put them on the same amp and play both, The Gibson can clearly be heard as the better guitar.

2023年6月22日 · In 2020 Gibson introduced a new version of the Epiphone ES’s in the “Inspired By Gibson” line using specs that were closer to the Gibson models and introduced the new Epiphone headstock. Gibson uses a 3 ply maple/poplar/maple construction, Epiphone uses a 5 ply maple construction that makes the Epiphone ES’s slightly heavier.

Being an old "Gibson guy", I found that hard to believe. New Epiphone ES 335's, (vintage sunburst specifically), list at $599.00 @ Sweetwater, Guitar Center, etc., and that price is very affordable.

2018年6月20日 · I owned an Ibanez AS83 (a clone of the ES-335) just before getting my ES-335. I will never regret getting the ES-335. My age, 50 at that time, income and commitment to music allowed me to justify the $1800 purchase. I also own a Gibson acoustic, so I have skin in the game as I state this opinion.

2021年8月9日 · In Oct 2020 the new redesigned Epiphone ES-335 and ES-339 appeared on my radar. After serious deliberation I got the 339 and immediately modified it with Humbucker sized Mean 90's, I would have modified either one.

2021年3月21日 · The new Gibson Inspired ES-339 and ES-335 (with the new headstock) are built very close to the current Gibson spec with the Rounded C Profile neck, which I love to death. The Sheraton Pro (older clipped ear headstock) has the Slim Taper D profile and the Emily Wolfe Sheraton Stealth (new headstock) has the 60s SlimTaper C profile neck.

2021年8月21日 · The new Epi 335's are spec'd to be very close to the Gibson version like the same Medium C neck profile and the 5 Layer Maple body the same method as my Epi 339 is very nice, where Gibson uses 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple. The Epiphone ES-335 Figured in Raspberry Tea Burst looks amazing to me..
