2014年7月22日 · I was due to get a follow-up routine full-body xray last month, but my doc and I finally decided to postpone imaging to this fall (given my current, decent numbers) and to instead opt for a PET/CT. Going forward, I will probably end up doing a PET/CT every second or third imaging session for routine follow up.

2017年9月17日 · Once again, I am asymptomatic without any CRAB criteria, supplemented by the “clean” PET/CT scan indicating no bone lesions, (and thus dismissing B in CRAB), as well as absence of FDG avid disease. Supporting the finding of an absence of CRAB symptoms are normal results for creatinine, BUN, C-reactive protein and calcium.

2018年5月14日 · Regarding the scan, you didn't say if it was just a CT scan, or if it include a PET scan, which is often added when multiple myeloma is suspected. PET will show if the lesion is active because some lesions are not and may not be myeloma-related. In any event, I believe it is the marrow cells that drive the blood numbers.

2017年10月16日 · To my knowledge, when it comes to myeloma, a skeletal survey cannot pick up anything that an MRI or PET/CT can't. In general, whole-body MRIs and PET/CTs are superior to skeletal surveys when it comes to myeloma. See this article for a great explanation on the tradeoffs of the various imaging modalities:

2012年2月13日 · After 5 cycles of Velcade / Revlimid / dex (VRD, I finally had a PET scan done. Initial full body x-ray at diagnosis did not show anything. But I had / have spine and rib pain. PET shows "Multiple level osteolytic changes in ribs and vertebral bodies compatible with treated multiple myeloma disease." So does this mean the bones are repaired?
