Tbh in the case of a GPU bottleneck, the CPU isn't "expecting" anything. It just does its job with a renderer that doesn't reflect its full performance. Whereas with a CPU bottleneck, the GPU is indeed "expecting" the CPU to allow higher throughput so that it can perform better.

A +100mhz in memory and core Overclock has increased FPS & CPU usage thus reducing the GPU bottleneck . All I was asking for was tips on how to reduce GPU bottleneck.

In this case, the performance is limited by the single core performance. GPU performance close to, but not at 100% is not indicative of a bottleneck.

So let's say a pretty complex and detailed game code like gta5 allows for 100fps on your cpu. It sends 100 pre-rendered frames to the gpu every second. The gpu then tries to paint all 100 frames on screen every second.

Aug 13, 2019 · Bottleneck just means that one component (the GPU for you) is much faster than another (the CPU) by making the GPU slower it will be closer to the the speed of the CPU so there will be less of a bottleneck. But all of this is just philosophical ,if you don't have any problems you don't need to do anything.

Oct 21, 2019 · The GPU being bottlenecked by the CPU would be the thing you'd want in your build. (The CPU should always be stronger than the GPU) What a CPU bottleneck mean ingame is constant lag spikes in CPU intensive games and/or depending on how bad is it, even normal CPU optimised titles.

May 21, 2020 · The GPU sets the max framerate, based on the game, and the resolution. And as long as your max framerate is above the refresh rate of the monitor you're using, on the games you're playing, a bottleneck really doesn't matter much.
