Anyway to set default Course track color on map - Edge 1030
Given the superior capabilities of the 1030 display, Garmin could improve the user experience for all of its users, normal color vision and colorblind alike, by improving their choice of colors for routes and the various road classes. I would be happy to look at sample images on the 1030 and advise how a red-green colorblind cyclist sees them.

The Garmin 1030 is connected with the Garmin Varia UT800 light. a lightnetwork was created. It had something to do with the correct pairing setting on the Varia light. One question for others: Do you also think that the Edge 1030 screen is a bit vage.

Should I export routes created with Ride with GPS in FIT or TCX format? I have been exported them as TCX files then transferring them to the NEW folder on the Edge 1030. I note the Ride with GPS also has an option to export to FIT format. Would this be better?

Through Garmin Connect I was able to delete all non Garmin apps, including Strava, and I seem to have eliminated the problem. I have not reinstalled each app to see what might have been the problem, but now my Garmin Edge 1030 holds a charge, first overnight and not over a week without loosing it's initial charge.

Garmin computers were never intended to be used for storage of rides.The rides should be uploaded to Garmin Connect or another site where they will always be available to download. I've found that when the history has many entries, the computer will slow down. Garmin should make users more aware of the file limitation.

Since I use an aero handlebar from ProVibe (see pic) I cannot use the standard Edge mount from Garmin.since the space between stem and the aero shape of the handlebar is to narrow. Further more the V13 stem from Canyon does not allow any mounting underneath the stem. Any suggestion appreciated. BR /Peter

When I have a course ready in Garmin connect and want to upload it to the 1030 I have to connect the 1030 via USB to my laptop - this would work via Garmin Express. However, what is the purpose of the WIFI then? Garmin Express does not recognize the 1030 unless it is connected via USB. Would be great if someone could help a Garmin newbie...
