The Gilboa Prison break was a jailbreak in Israel which occurred on 6 September 2021, when six Palestinian political prisoners escaped from Gilboa Prison, a maximum security prison in northern Israel, through a tunnel they dug out using spoons. A Israel Prison Service official described the escape as "a major security and intelligence failure".
