Helheim Glacier - Wikipedia
Helheim Glacier is a glacier in the Sermersooq municipality, Eastern Greenland. This glacier's name is derived from "Helheim", a modern term for a world of the dead in Old Norse religion: Hel. The Helheim Glacier is located on the eastern side of the Greenland ice sheet.

Helheim Glacier (66.38 N, 38.8 W) in southeast Greenland is one of the ice sheet’s largest outlet glaciers. In its lowermost 12 km, the glacier flows through a steep-sided, ~6 km wide bedrock trough at speeds of up to ~25 m/day.
