2014年9月3日 · Pleather (plastic leather) pads are easy to clean. Just wipe with damp cloth, wipe again with dry cloth, and they should be clean right away. Unfortunately, that's not the case with velour/cloth pads. Because it's cloth with hairy/furry surface, velour pads are prone to catch dirt (also dandruff) and absorb sweats.

But if the ear pads actually smell that bad, you have either transported a good amount of the bad smelling acids your skin bacteria create into the headphones, or the bacteria have started living there as well. In the later case, only thoroughly cleaning the pads will work.

2014年7月13日 · Cloth pads can breathe a bit more and some people prefer how they feel as well. It really comes down to preference and if you want them to seal really tight or not (with open back headphones I definitely prefer cloth pads, while pleather pads are better for closed back headphones IMO)

2017年8月10日 · Yes I can remove/replace head pads at any moment. I don't mind having abit worse sound isolation. This second pads are actually made of velour (I heard its are terrible, they get dusty really fast and they're basically 1-time use). Its really hot now where I live, and those leather pads make me even more sweaty.

2020年5月30日 · But from my findings on the interwebz the pad dimensions are as follows: 0.5mm on memory chips 1.0mm on inductors (the gray block with R16/R15) and 1.5mm on mosfets/vrm. You said you had some 1mm pads lying around. Try those out, thicker pads will just squish down and work just fine where thinner ones are used.

2019年12月27日 · The cord is absolute garbage. It's super scratchy and you can hear it in the left ear (where it attaches). The pads are removable, but the driver screen/ear protector is attached and cannot be removed... so you can't really wash the pads and clean them like you can with more expensive brands. Just have to be way more careful when cleaning.

2015年6月28日 · So basically my A40's are getting a bit down in the dumps and the top of the headset and ear pads are getting dampened down like an old cushion and mucky. So i' guessing washing when with alcohol or something would work. I know that the ear pads come off and can go back on easily so cleaning them arent so bad.
