2018年3月15日 · Replacing a burned-out headlight bulb is relatively easy on the GL1500. The original headlight bulbs on GL1500's are, in typical Honda tradition, a rare and expensive dealer item. However this is easily and cheaply rectified with a pair of Headlight Bulb Shims. These shims allow you to use commonly available (and reasonably priced) H4 bulbs.

I can't even see the stinking headlight bulb, let alone replace it. I did find that by removing the vent lever I could get a hand through enough to do the job, but with a lot of skin knocked off in the process.

2023年5月7日 · Just changed the headlight bulb in 86 1200 Aspencade. 1st the bulb the dealer sold me was incorrect. Second- I did not have to rotate my mirrors - just peeled back the rubber covers and had access to the screws - they had 10 mm heads and came off easily.

2022年1月5日 · Once the headlight is removed, you can remove the bulb from the back of the headlight and replace it. Careful not to touch the glass of the new bulb with your fingers (if you do, then clean the bulb with rubbing alcohol to remove any oil or fingerprints before installing it). Reinstallation is the reverse of removal.

Because of this, the bulb can be run hotter, which means brighter. But it ends up running so hot that it would melt the glass envelope, which is the reason for the quartz - hence the term quartz-halogen.

Reconnect the headlight connector to the headlight, making sure the locking tab snaps into place. 29.
