2014年11月4日 · I have Office 20013. In Word, my AutoCorrect is spell checking in French instead of English, even though all my language settings are set for English (United States). When I go into the Options: Language tab, English (United States) is the default language.

2020年6月2日 · My spell check within the email (and all new emails and replies) is suddenly reverting to French. I have set my proofing language to English and it is showing as English, I have go to File>Options>Languages and ensured this is also in English.

2021年2月24日 · I have Microsoft word 2016 on a school account. Whenever I ty and edit a document it sets the language to French even though I do not have French set as a language in my settings. I have already tried changing the default language to English(AU) on the bar at the bottom. I have also unchecked the automatically detect language box already.

2025年1月15日 · I have clicked on the Review tab, selected Language, and then selected set proofing language. Then when the box appears, it says French is the language. I change it to English (United States) and click okay. Then when I run spell check I still get this: Even after I changed the language it still is trying to spell check in French.

2020年5月9日 · This is a problem that has occurred in the past day or so. It appears to me that Microsoft WORD is marking "misspelled" words based on a FRENCH dictionary. I do not speak French and did not knowingly do anything to cause this change in behavior. I have an Office 365 subscription; and I believe that there has been an auto-update recently.

2010年6月15日 · On occasion, while running spell check on a document I created, and also on those received from others, spell check will start checking in French instead of English. This happens in the middle of a document, while spell check is running. It simply switches languages. This has happed to others at my firm as well.

2020年6月25日 · Change default spell checker language I'm working on Word 2019 on an English SO and Office; I'd like to change the default check spelling language, but no matter what I do when I open a new document it defaults to English.

Suddenly today my PowerPoint sell checking is defaulting to French. I've gone in and changed it to English but it returns to French and French is appearing first. I highlight English (only other language and next one down) and tell it to make it default, it asks if I do want to do that and I say yes but it keeps spell checking in French.

2016年2月12日 · The spell check for French and German works on these two programs. But I cannot access these two programs unless I use my own Windows 10 computer. The question of course is why the French and German spell check works in my Windows 7 computer and not in my Windows 10 computer for outlook.com respectively Hotmail.com.
