Hypopigmentation may be seen after a few weeks of intra-articular corticosteroid injection. Hypopigmentation following intra-articular corticosteroid administration usually resolves after a few months and warrants no specific therapy.

A 33 years old female, without underlying medical comor-bidity, presents with hypopigmentation over left lateral aspect of elbow for 3 weeks. She had a history of left lateral aspect elbow pain for 5 weeks duration and was diagnosed with ten-nis elbow.

Although hypopigmentation is a well known adverse effect of topical steroids, it is less commonly described following intraarticular steroid injections, and the pathophysiology may be different. We report a case of reticulate hypopigmentation following serial steroid injections to the left knee.
