2020年4月11日 · Just keep in mind that parts for the older Jet stuff can be unobtanium. The finish n these is a little rougher than the newer models. I had a Rutland 12x36 made in Taiwan that was made in the mid 80’s. It worked but the finish wasn’t great. Now I have a Yangzhou 13x40 that was made in China in the mid 90’s. I paid $1200 for it in 2018.

But having access to more than one, allows you to put together a "Super Manual" Also the Grizzly G9249 12x37 Lathe is the same. Though Grizzly no longer sells the Lathe, they do sell the parts.

2021年10月30日 · I have little experience and just purchased a Jet 1236P 1981 lathe. It's in decent condition. I need to rewire it completely, but will get into that at the wiring forum. Does anyone know if the grizzly g9249 compound slide will fit the Jet 1236P. The lathe has a back plate 3 and 4 jaw chuck and steady rest. The ways feel and look good.

2019年2月4日 · The problem I have had is finding the old Grizzly model numbers. Their DF 1237G is almost identical to my Shenwai SW 900B (1985) but they don't list parts fo it. The G1003 is very close and the gears appear to be the same. My lathe had a broken gear when I got it. The Shenwai parts list showed 3 gears with the same number.

I have a lot of time on it and it has been a great lathe over the years despite the abuse that it takes from my co-workers. Holds great tolerances and is a smooth running lathe.
