As the data is received by the screen, it needs to be captured time-aligned to the LVDS clock. It is much easier to match 4 lanes to a clock rather than 8 lanes to a clock. At these speeds, the exact length of each wire on the circuit board matters (electricity travels at about 6" per nanosecond on a circuit board).

The prototype connects the LVDS output of the SOC and the LCD-display using free-floating enameled copper wire. My questions: Can a LVDS generally produce a "rather" correct image using this kind of wiring? Or is a LVDS twisted-pair connection mandatory? I have tried to visualize the LVDS signals using an oscilloscope, with no success.

2022年4月3日 · LVDS is quite straight forward, and is just parallel data serialised 7:1. The RGB, DE, and syncs go in defined places. It is normally a clock pair, and 3 LVDS pairs for 18bpp, or 4 LVDS pairs for 24bpp, or 5 LVDS pairs for 30bpp. The LVDS clock tends to be ~75MHz max, and data lines tend to top out at 525MHz (7x75M).

We are using an Advantech PCM-3363 PC104 board to drive a NLT Technologies NL10276BC13-01C LVDS Display in an embedded device. While everything works fine usually, the display sometimes is corrupt. This screen is the usual "Windows did not shut down correctly" screen, normally colored light grey on black.

2021年12月7日 · I've purchased a LCD TFT Display (LG Display LA123WF-SL01) that has an absurd connecter that i haven't seen anywhere online that it has been used before. The name of the connector is FH28D-64S-0.5SH. From the connector name i can see that the FH28D is the connector name variant and 64S is that it has 64 pins and 0.5SH is most likely the 0.5mm size.

2019年1月16日 · I'm on TI's AM5708 platform (custom board) trying to drive this Full HD panel via TI's DS90C387 Dual-Pixel Display Interface. The SoC outputs 24bit RGB into DS90C387. And then DS90C387 outputs 8 pairs of LVDS signal into the display panel. Mostly it's working - I can read the console which is good progress.
