2018年8月2日 · I too, was diagnosed with an aneurysm in the right internal carotid artery 3×4 mm, and another one on the left side in the cavernous part of the internal carotid artery 3mm. Vascular Surgeon has said a repeat ct angiography to be done in 6 months. I am quite worried, as my mother passed away 16 years ago at the age of 47 from an aneurysm.

2018年7月15日 · A 1.9 mm aneurysm versus infundibulum = The main importance of an infundibulum is that it may be mistaken for a saccular (berry) aneurysm (which is rounded and has the branch at its base). An infundibulum in most cases measures less than 3 mm. Unlike an aneurysm, an infundibulum is not believed to be a risk for rupture and subarachnoid hemorrhage

FINDINGS: Current exam once again demonstrates a 2 mm outpouching along the basilar artery termination extending slightly to the left of midline. There is evidence for is tiny vessels arising from the apex of this outpouching could represent small perforating vessels or tiny hypoplastic P1 segments. The configuration is similar to previous exams.

2017年8月31日 · Completely normal to respond the way you have and I always recommend a second opinion. Make sure you find a neurologist that is willing to work with you and your symptoms. Your headaches may not be associated, however they need to be treated appropriately. You need to be monitored no mater the size of the aneurysm.

2017年8月31日 · My doctor recommended I have an MRI/MRA. The findings were: Head MRA: 4 mm left internal carotid artery ophthalmic segment saccular aneurysm. Brain MRI: Normal. From this, I met with the neurology department and completed a CT with dye. Their findings were: Redundant left ophthalmic artery infundibular origin versus small aneurysm.
