2008年5月19日 · I have 3 GSD's and 2 of them would get the Lip fold pyoderma on occasion. This clears it up every time. (And fast) If your dog drools a lot, dry off his/her lips in that area when you can. It's the drool that gets inside the lip folds, that makes the germs that is causing the pyoderma. Keeping it dry,will help to prevent it.

I suspect my puppy is suffering from lip fold pyoderma, HELP!

When I went through this decided to try the cream first and see what happened if your dog isn't showing signs of getting better after a week or two and it's getting worse then i'd go see a vet and make sure there's no infection ...

2018年1月27日 · Those photos do look like lipfold dermatitis. If your dog's lip fold is red like that, you can use something like Dechra's michonahex-triz with chlorhexidine. If you use it several times a day it will help but will take time to heal. If you go to the vet, you'll get some oral antibiotic that will clear it up quicker.

These lesions may be exacerbated when poor oral hygiene results in high salivary bacterial counts.

2020年12月7日 · My 1 yr old female has lip fold pyoderma. It started about a month ago and vet put her on short course of predisone and antibiotics. It cleared up but not completely and now it is back. Vet wants to do a longer course of prednisone and antibiotics. I am not a fan of steroids. I am curious if steroid and antibx combo is the usual treatment.
