2004年2月22日 · Small to medium braids work better. Especially for those of you with permed hair. If you choose to have "micro" braids, please do not keep it in for more that 6-8 weeks. Instead of paying $350 plus for "micro" braids, go for a style that will cost you half the price, last the same period of time and keeps your hair intact.

2009年9月3日 · I'm in pixie-like braids now, but I usually prefer twists because they are less time consuming. These braids do allow me to show more length and they are lasting longer (wrapping up my third week and them and could easily go another 3 weeks...I think). I don't do either for the braid/twist-outs.

2012年2月17日 · I had kinky twists installed less than two weeks ago (first time with any individual braids since I was 13). Three different braiders worked on my head until I complained (sizes were all different) and then the owner finish my hair. Some of the kinky twists were already slipping within a week, to the point of looking like they would fall out.

I wanted to give my hair a break from relaxer for a bit, but I'm in a crossroad. I was wondering if it's best to get a relaxer after taking these braids out, and then get it re-braided 3 weeks later.
