MMCX connectors: how reliable? - Head-Fi.org
2014年7月7日 · After a few months the MMCX connection started cutting out. A new cable didn't help. Googling around showed plenty of other people, having issues with MMCX connectors on different brands. There's still new IEM's with MMCX coming to the market, but the connector looks quite a bit different. Maybe I got scared.

The original Shure cable failed in 2016. The cable was replaced with a 3rd party (Fiio) cable which was working fine until about a month ago.

2020年3月9日 · I have successfully MMCX balanced my TH-X00 with these connectors. The only fiddly bit for me was trying to solder the grounds to the connector - I just wrapped the wire around the thread and tightened the nut on it. Balancing makes the sound tighter, a little clearer but very enjoyable. I have terminated the original cable with MMCX connectors.

I was wondering if anyone knew if it was doable/easy to replace the MMCX connector on the earbud itself. have a pair of SE846 and something happened to the MMCX connector on one of them.

2016年5月30日 · Just from looking on the IEMs MMCX connector and comparing I could tell that the pin in the inside was bent to the side. I took a sewing needle, got inside that pin/tube and carefully bent it back to the middle. Now the cable clicks in properly. Those connectors are super fragile, although it took over 6 years to have an issue...
