Does anyone run a Magic Heat reclaimer off an Encore?
2010年1月2日 · I sent the following email to Nelson Products last night about concerns on their heat reclaimer: "I have a Magic Heat reclaimer model MH-6-R. Last year, it was being used on a pre EPA wood stove. I bought an EPA rated catalytic wood stove that burns more efficiently and hooked up the reclaimer to it.

2011年12月2日 · the heat going out your stack is a necessary evil so to speak. it keeps the flue drawing, and also helps keep it clean. adding a heat reclaimer to a stack reduces what gets into the flue and could cause an unwanted drop in stack temperature. with a higher efficiency epa unit yoiu are already getting more out of the stove and less up the stack ...

2009年9月24日 · If you do a search you'll find many threads about them. However, in the end, most of us do not like them. The main reason is that a certain amount of heat is required to send the smoke and gasses up the chimney (heat rises). If you rob some of that heat you many times end up with a big creosote problem. That is something you do not want.

2013年12月22日 · It's a US 2000 stove model it should be heating 2000 square feet. We are burning seasoned oak maple and Elm. It's in a finished basement with an open stairwell beside it. It was suggested to get a magic heat reclaimer. I'm torn about the heat reclaimer should I get one or replace the stove? If new stove do you have any recommendations?
