2022年4月11日 · I’ve got Magpul Type 2 on my SR-15 because they fit the contour of the rail nicely. On my Larue Stealth 2.0, I use the Larue MLok covers because again they fit great. On everything else I use RailScales. I also have a set of the FCD ones and they are pretty damn good too. Probably cheaper if I remember correctly

2014年12月24日 · The Magpul XTs attach to the rail in a significantly different fashion than the KAC panels. Rather than sliding on, the XTs must be snapped into place. This can be accomplished by hooking one longitudinal side of the panel to the rail and then, starting in a corner, bending the other side back and over the rail.

2019年1月13日 · While the grip stops were always defective junk, the covers were the slimmest, best covering, lightest covers around, with the perfect amount of traction. The Magpul Type 2 MLOK covers are close but cover less, are thicker, heavier, and have too much grip/aggressive texture compared to the keymod NSR covers.

2011年2月22日 · On my top rails I use Magpul ladder rail covers to protect my hand from sharp rail corners, it also protects the webbings of my chest rig and sling from being worn out. Ladder rail covers doesn't have any protection against impact damage from hard objects like metal, cement, rocks, etc., also from heat of the barrel.

2020年11月24日 · The polymer Rail Scales are also somewhat useless in the honeycomb texture. They dont add much in the way of grip and they're thicker than the Slate black ones. It just felt awkward on the rail. Most of my rifles are running type 2 magpul covers, even my Daniel Defense MFR XL rail and its not overly wide.

Magpul: XT vs. XTM vs. Ladder Covers - AR15.COM
2011年10月8日 · The top of the LaRue index clips are about 3mm from the top of the rail. The Magpul XTMs are about 5.3mm from the top of the rail. It doesn't sound like a big difference, but it's a big difference in look and feel. The XTMs, like most rail covers, hide the hand guard a lot.
