2022年2月12日 · Hello all, What process do you use to create prints from your artwork? I know where I can get a good quality scan ($50) but the cost of a print is between $40-$50 (8×10 to 16×20). I see many artists producing prints in the $25-$30 range. I’d like to be able to sell prints in that price range if possible. Thanks everyone.

2012年8月14日 · I take the digital file to my print shop, and they work from that. I really don’t sell prints, I make up holiday cards doing it this way and it works out pretty good. I’ve made a few paintings into prints for gifts, but I haven’t actually sold them. I’d rather just sell the original and make room for more paintings.

2004年2月5日 · I took it for granted that you were working in uncompressed formats (eg a raw PSD file) when you were altering the artwork, anyway, the JPEG should only compress the image further each time if you have a compression setting on it, Photoshop gives you the option if you want the image at it’s maximum (12 I think) and down to a minimum.

I believe just the opposite that it can increase the value of the original by promoting the artist and making his/her work more sought after there by making the original more valuable.

2003年2月21日 · The reason for this is I wouldn’t want to have to knock on a patron’s door asking for the original back so I could make prints or if you ever have a book created about your work or whatever. Also so there is no confusion with the patron, I try to make sure they understand, when I sell a piece of artwork I also give a certificate of authenticy.
