2024年3月14日 · My opinion: The Mini-14 has almost no recoil, so little need for a Muzzle Brake. Depending on the need for quick follow-up shots, a Compensator may be worthwhile. Mini-30 has a bit more recoil, but not so much so as I believe Brakes are required for most folks.

2017年1月11日 · If your mini is threaded L'd recommend getting a Levantine style linear brake which doesn't do much for recoil bit directs the muzzle blast forward away from the shooter and his buddies. A little more weight hanging off the barrel can dampen harmonics.

2013年3月3日 · Got my 581 series Stainless Mini 14 a couple of months ago. Am sure this has been discussed before, but wanna put a muzzle brake on it. Talked to a nearby gunsmith, he wanted to thread the barrel and put on an AR type brake. I really don't want to thread the barrel and I want to keep the iron front sight. Is there a mfg out there that makes one.

2011年9月21日 · Been wanting to install a muzzle brake/flash suppressor on my 580 series mini 14 and saw one made by Mo-Reaper on Gun Broker. I sent them an email and they said that installation consists of removing the existing sight by taking out the roll pin and then installing the new part with the existing roll pin.

2011年11月9日 · My Mini 14 is a series 580 Rancher and the Mo-Reaper fits perfectly. I did modify the installation somewhat. After removing the old front sight, rather than follow directions and pound the new sight on, I used an emory cloth to smooth down the end of the barrel to the point where the Mo-Reaper could be slipped on without undue stress.

2018年12月30日 · Personally id prefer a flash hider over a muzzle brake for a 5.56 rifle. But this will bring the front sight closer to the rear sight by an inch reducing sight radius. The Mo Reaper keeps its sight at the factory location.
