Poecilotheria striata, or the Mysore ornamental tarantula, is a large arboreal tarantula of the family Theraphosidae. It is endemic to India.

It has bold, striking markings on its carapace and abdomen, but once you look at its underside you might think it to be a different spider. Sporting bright yellow markings contrasted against black bands, the colors on this tarantula are most striking underneath.
