CIP Level 1 covers the technical and practical fundamentals of coating inspection work. Students will be prepared to perform basic coating inspections using non-destructive techniques and instrumentation.

Each certification level enables the corresponding course and exam, or pass the Peer Review, they before moving on to the next level. Once students successfully assessments and each level of the program must be successfully CIP Level 2 courses.

Each level covers distinct aspects, commencing with Level 1, which focuses on non-destructive inspections of liquid coatings applied by spray, roller or brush to steel surfaces. Level 2 expands the scope to include both non-liquid and liquid coatings on various substrates in a shop setting.
