Discover Oak Island Resort in the heart of Walleye paradise on the Minnesota/Ontario border. Nestled in the Northwest Angle region of Lake of the Woods, our resort offers prime access to both US and Canadian waters.

Oak Island Resort has nine fully equipped housekeeping cabins in a variety of sizes to accommodate large groups to couples and everything in between. Our main lodge offers a pool table, ping-pong, tables for cards, wi-fi and satellite television for the big game.

Kayaks, canoeing, swimming, bird watching and nature walks are some of the outdoor options. Oak Island has a trail that traverses a large portion of the interior. However, if you prefer the inside or the weather demands, the lodge offers guests a pool table, ping-pong, and large table for puzzles, card games and board games.

Guided fishing is a Thing and it is Awesome. Oak Island Resort has 17 different guides that we work with and can help a group find the right guide for them in Canada or the USA.

Our resort is located on the northwest side of Oak Island, Minnesota on one of the approximately 14,500 islands in Lake of the Woods. To reach our scenic island location you can boat 6 miles from Young’s Bay located at the Northwest Angle , or you can boat from the south shore of Lake of the Woods, by private boat or launch.

We are a sport and family fishing resort located on scenic Oak Island, which is in the heart of Lake of the Woods and not far from Young’s Bay in the Northwest Angle area of LOTW. If you are fishing from on the Northwest Angle you need a Minnesota Fishing License. You can buy your permit through the Minnesota State DNR website...
