2021年12月17日 · This is just my opinion from my experience with Occre and Corel. For new or mid-level builders Occre kits are the best value overall. Instructions are excellent with color pictures guiding the way ( 9 on a 1-10 scale). I have not had a problem with the materials, they were very good. Customer service is absolutely first class.

2021年12月14日 · A big plus with the Occre are the Sails, Oak Hull and the small size. A big big negative is the lack of instructions and terminology just missing. Once you start making the model one forgets all about the posh box it came in (it comes in a custom made wooden box complete with limited edition medals etc).

2021年9月6日 · My son is a big fan of the Shackelton expedition and he wanted a model of Endurance so that will be my next build. This is my first OcCre kit and so far i'm impressed. All the frame pieces fit well and only a little adjustment was needed. I applied sanding sealer, then sanded, and airbrushed the A3, A7, A11 frames white were indicated on the plans.

2024年12月3日 · OcCre is not famous for accuracy in the kits, but with plans based on contemporary sources as an additional source could be a good project. The Corsair was supposedly a brigantine converted to carry cannon by the Corsairs so who knows what the kit is about as it is supposedly a general depiction rather than based on a real vessel.

2021年12月23日 · I have both the OcCre and Amati models for HMS Revenge. The Amata model is much larger, and requires more skill to build. Most of the historic features are on the smaller OcCre model, and adding details, such as replacing the crude rigging blocks with properly shaped aftermarket blocks, can make the model more professional looking.

2020年12月18日 · Last year I started the project Montañes. Montañes is one of OcCre's largest ship model kits. The vessel was a Spanish 74-gun, 3rd-rate Ship of the Line that saw action at Trafalgar. It is a 1/70 scale and measures 1250 mm overall lenght, 470 mm width and 895 mm height. I'm now about to finish the hull, including hull and deck fittings.
