2019年7月16日 · The way this process is supposed to work is that I connect to the supplier's network via VPN, then connect to the FTP server and download the PGP-encrypted files from the server. I have managed to set up the VPN connection and I can connect to the FTP server using FileZilla. I see the files (XYZ.pgp) in the server's directory.

I found the hexa value of the key in the binary file, but I guess the position is based on the key kind/size. Basically, I have the base64 formatted public key and I would like to retrieve the key ID from it, without importing it with GnuPG.

2015年9月1日 · FTP has its place -- serving files (read only). Same conditions under which you don't need a password. I would rely on the same encryption that I would for a file being sent through email (which is as insecure as FTP, if not more so) -- something like PGP.

The ftp does not support variables.

Files are downloaded both in Linux Ubuntu a.w.a. in Windows using both browsers and Qt-based app with QNetworkAccessManager. In Windows files are also downloaded with FileZilla.
