2018年12月5日 · The smaller one fits into the place where the original pad is in my smaller jack, but is smaller in diameter than the original pad on that one. I personally use the central lifting points like Mendel does and I originally placed jack stands where the pinch weld lifting spots are, but tried to avoid from having them carry a load.

The adapter, while made of a thick age harden aluminum 6061-T6 alloy, is designed to bend, instead of the sheet metal. A heavy load would allow the two "wings" to bend until the pinch weld "bottoms" on the adaptor.

2020年7月5日 · Alll the Honda's I've seen have similar scissor jack locations, BUT the pinch seam material is thicker, and there's an extra, heavier gauge plate reinforcement at the jacking point, about 3" wide. It projects down slightly more than the regular pinched seam, and then has a horizontal leg toeing inward, creating a flange maybe 3/8" wide.

It bends to react to the weight of the car. The pinch weld will also settle on the bottom of the adapter to provide another supporting line for the weight. I have posted photos.

There are some slotted adapters for jacks for this purpose (they look like slotted hockey pucks), but I haven't found anything like this for jackstands.
