I don't know if Randall was worth the risk or not. We know Randall's group was aggressive, but I think Randall is less clear. I think I'm one of the few who would have tried to bring him into the group. Here is my logic. Randall's group abandoned him to die a terrible death. He only lived the extra week or so because the main group saved him.

I’ve always loved the show most, when the conflict is simple and the characters drive the story. Whether it be Randall/farm, the flu arc, or the bridge building.
